Jamie Amelio doesn't talk about change. She's spent more than two decades creating it.

In 2003, a little girl at the temples of Angkor Wat asked Jamie for a dollar to pay for school. Jamie followed her back to the classroom — 75 children in a dirt-floor building, waiting for a teacher who never came. She went home and founded Caring for Cambodia. Today CFC operates 21 schools serving more than 7,000 students a year across Siem Reap.

Building something that lasts across two decades and two continents required more than passion. Jamie has navigated divorce, cancer, a life-threatening allergic reaction, and a son's battle with addiction — and turned every one of those experiences into material for the stage.  She doesn't speak from theory. She speaks from the work.

Jamie is the author of four books, including the Amazon bestseller Staying Bothered. Her keynotes have reached audiences across the corporate, nonprofit, and education sectors. She lives in Lakeway, Texas.
